Comics Club (Grades 3-5)

A monthly virtual graphic novel book club with games and activities.

Family Trivia Night (All Ages)

Looking for something that you can do as a whole family? Team up for this virtual trivia challenge! Trivia questions will cover a variety of topics and will be appropriate for children of all ages.

Take + Make Kits for Children (Ages vary each week)

Each week we will have craft or science kits available to take home. Sign up using our events calendar to reserve your supplies.

At-home Activities for Kids

Need some craft ideas? Want to learn how to make pizza dough? Love science? Check out some fun and educational how-to videos made by our children’s librarians!

Nutmeg Book Awards

The Nutmeg Book Award encourages children and teens in grades 2-12 to read quality literature and to choose their favorite from a list of ten nominated titles. Jointly sponsored by the Connecticut Library Association (CLA) and the Connecticut Association of School Librarians (CASL), the Nutmeg Committee is comprised of children’s librarians and school library media specialists.
