Printing & Technology
Accessibility
We have an Accessibility PC on the lower level. The Accessibility PC includes an extra-large monitor, adjustable height desk, high contrast keyboard, and several adaptive mice options.
We also have a desktop magnifier and a handheld magnifier for use on the lower level.
Computers
Access Windows computers and iMacs on the lower level, the Teen room (grades 6-12), or the Children’s room (ages 12 and under). No library card or guest pass is required.
Charging Cords
Need to charge your smartphone or tablet? The library has charging cords available for in-library use at the front desk.
Copying
A high-speed copy machine is available on the library’s lower level. We accept cash, card, and tap-to-pay.
Digital Microfilm Reader
We have a digital microfilm reader on the lower level for viewing our collection of The Cheshire Herald (1953-2017) or viewing your own microfilm. Send files to USB, email, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, or Dropbox.
Fax Services
Outgoing fax services are available on the lower level.
Faxes cost $1 per page (cash only)
Mobile Hotspots
Need wifi for 2 weeks? Borrowers can checkout a mobile hotspot to have internet access anywhere with a cell phone signal for use with tablets, laptops, smart phones, desktop computers, and streaming devices like Roku. Hotspots are available at our front desk. Please see our Borrowing Policies for late fees and restrictions.
Printing
The Library’s full printing services are available on the lower level. We accept cash, card, and tap-to-pay. You can print from library computers or print from your own device.
Standard letter size (8 ½” x 11”) or legal size (8 ½” x 14)
Black & White: 10¢ per page
Color: 50¢ per page
Tabloid size (11” x 17”)
Black & White: 50¢ per page
Color: $1.00 per page
Cash-only basic printing is available in the Teen Room (for grades 6-12) and the Children’s Room (for ages 12 and under, or for adults accompanying children).
Printing from Your Own Device
For the fastest processing of larger print jobs, such as color PDF files over 25 pages, we suggest printing from the library computers.
You can print from your own device by uploading files to our mobile print portal using the link below. You can customize with color, two-sided printing, page range printing, and multiple copies.
Once you’ve submitted your print job, visit the Information Desk or the self-service print kiosk on the lower level to purchase and pick up your prints. Jobs are printed at the time of payment. Unpaid jobs remain in the print queue for up to 24 hours.
Printing via email
You can also print the body text of an email or an email attachment. Forward your email with attachments to cpl-bw@ewprints.com (black and white) or cpl-color@ewprints.com (color).

Scanning
The library copier is also a high-speed scanner. Scanning to your own USB flash drive is free. Scanning to email is free.
Our ScannX system offers a feeder for scanning multiple pages as well as a high resolution flatbed scanner. Scans can be sent to a flash drive, email or Google Drive free of charge.
Wifi
Bring your laptop or other device and connect to the wifi network Cheshire Public Library. No password is required.
