Titanic: The CT Connections

6:30pm Monday, April 15

When the Titanic sank on April 15, 1912, there were 33 passengers onboard with Connecticut connections. This presentation focuses on the story of the ship itself as well as those passengers on it with interesting stories, especially those with Connecticut connections: the very sad story of James Kelly, the character assassination of William T. Sloper of New Britain, the moving and tragic story of Jane Carr of Windsor Locks and others. 

Registration is required.

Tweens Try: Sours & Superpowers (Grades 4-6)

4:00pm Tuesday, April 16

Try a variety of sour foods and chat about superhero books. You might find some new favorites!

Dementia 102 Program

6:00pm Wednesday, April 17

A grass roots introduction to Dementia presented by the Living With Dementia panel. This is part two of a two part series. Topics include: “What is Dementia,” “Caregiving,” and other dementia related topics. Followed by Q & A. The discussion will be facilitated by Certified Dementia Practitioner and End of Life Specialist Bob Wilson. Other panel members are caregiver Laurie Scarfo and Speech Pathologist, and Certified Dementia Practitioner, Lynn Litwinczyk, M.S. CCC/SLP.

Preschool Storytime (Ages 3-5)

10:00am Thursday, April 18

A storytime for preschoolers to learn through talking, singing, reading, writing,and playing!

Registration required for each child. Register once to attend all 3 dates: April 18th, 25th, and May 2nd.
